No one can ever be Columbo again; however, the format could be used, and a few shows have tried, but not very well. I'd love to see a program that properly uses all the elements that made Columbo so special.

because literally nobody could replace him. Even if they got a great actor who fitted the part, fans would never accept them 🤣🤣

Peter Falk is the one and only 'Columbo'. The G.O.A.T. But, I always thought Mark Ruffalo would be perfect to step into the character. He resembles Peter, and the mannerisms would be second nature. Ever since seeing his character in the movie 'Zodiac', I've been hoping for this to happen. A Netflix, Prime or Hulu series would be GREAT.

Christoph Waltz could play Columbo, he essentially already have had the part as Hans Landa. just let him have his own quirks instead of trying to mimic Peter Falk's persona, because thats too much iconoclastic to replicate.
