  I have had GSD for the longest time. I don't think I have enough energy to adopt a retired police dog. They are incredable but high energy and half crazy. lol

  When I was 42yrs old, I adopted a 1yr old yellow lab who failed her 'guide dog' certificate. I was blessed to have her as my best friend until she was 16 years old, we said goodbye 7yrs ago and I still get teary when I talk about her.

  We adopted a retired military dog he got injured and had to retire early he lost his leg and was terrified of loud noises but he was the silliest and sweetest dog we ever had he was also very old when he died

  We adopted a retired police dog and it took a lot of work to get him to just be a dog again a lot of people don't know about all the crap they go through during their careers and the training it's hard on them sadly he passed away but he passed an old happy goofy lovey baby.
