Elijah is inspirational because a lot of us suffer from bottomless lows, and what did God do for Elijah? Rest, food, rest, and then get going.
So gentle, not judgmental. No "snap out of it" (tho this has a time and a place). God had patience for Elijah, and I find that endlessly comforting.

My favorite part of this is - "Why....do you think it is easy to get fresh water?" That's always the issue. People who work hard make it LOOK easy and then people who can do nothing come along and take this for granted, disorienting the entire culture.

To argue for God and traditional religion through the lens of Elijah is to argue for the preservation of human sanity and societal order. Without a divine moral anchor, justice becomes subjective, human dignity loses its sacred foundation, and society devolves into nihilism. The story of Elijah is a reminder that no matter how loud, pervasive, or politically backed anti-God ideologies become, they are structurally fragile because they are built on falsehood. Embracing a pro-God, pro-virtue life is the ultimate act of rebellion against a decaying world, offering the only path back to absolute truth, spiritual power, and genuine moral clarity. God bless ya'll.

"The voice that comes to people from within"

That is really striking. I have just discovered and started reading C. G. Juns's "The Red Book". Just in the first part, Jung, in his explorations, comes to a similar realization. He does, by the way, begin with Bible passages. Stunning.

Actually, in looking up a connection between Peterson and Jung I found an article that characterizes Peterson in the following way.

"Thus, inspecting the stages of life, Jung precedes his most prominent contemporary student, psychologist Jordan Peterson. Elemental cravings—faith, hope, love, and insight—equally concern Peterson, whose sensationally popular book, 12 Rules for Life, is exposing a new generation to Jungian concepts."
