I have been trying to find the name of this neighborhood. I went on an architectural tour a few years back at one of these homes. The whole neighborhood feels like you are no longer in Houston. Every home is beautiful.

This is kind of sad but between this and the river oaks video, I have learned more about the foundational history of the city I have lived in almost 50 years now.

I live on North Blvd. Easily my favorite nook of Houston and extremely walkable with all the shade. Plus, the herons coming to nest is an added bonus.

I was a student at Rice 1968-1972 and loved walking through this neighborhood, as well as the Museum District. I lived next to the University of St Thomas my Senior year at Rice, but I also enjoyed living on campus for the first three years.<br>When flying in or out of Houston, I am always impressed with how green it is, especially compared to cities like San Francisco, and so Houston has always looked beautiful to me, and especially in the winter, when other places are brown.

That's amazing, and I wish more of our city would learn from this!

Never heard of Ema Hog. But always heard of Ima Hog, as in I'm A Hog. They were proud of the name.

These are great! Came for the houses, stayed for the Houston history. Gus Wortham, Baker Botts, Rice University. I think the Houston marathon cuts through this or gets pretty close. +subscribed. Thank you!
