Today, 1st Person games are out and dead to me. Games with combat with lighting and explosive sword strikes are out and dead to me. Cartoon like games are dead boring. Space games, I can’t think of even one I want. All out Zombie games are crap to play.

For me, only Movie like 3rd person games are on my by list… if they are true to life. With great realistic combat. With an outstanding story to play. Longer games are a must, not quick little 10 hour games. And Fantasy games are crap to play for the most part.

So what’s left on my PS5. “The Last of Us Part 1”, “The Last of Us Part 2”, and the 3 “Tomb Raider games “ for PS5. I’ve dumped Fortnite, it’s done. Batman games are done. The rest don’t get played, just deleted. And if you think The Last of Us games are zombie games, you missed the point of the story. The are infected humans, that will die in time. Not humans that are dead, and in some religious way come back to life, to chase you around.

And, the Steam Deck, with that stupid little screen to play on, costs way too much. And the outlandish cost of buying the new PS6 is crazy. The cost of that thing and only digital games will end the PS6. And there’s no way I’m going back to a PC! The game industry is about to hit a brick wall.

So, I only have 5 PS5 games I play over and over now. I’m also waiting for the NEW Tomb Raider game coming in February of 2027. If a “Last of Us Part 3” ever gets released, that’s a must buy. But looking at Naughty Dog today and the cost of making a Naughty Dog game now, I don’t see a LoUs Part 3 ever coming to PS5 or a PS6.

So my gaming days are limited and may come to an end possibly in the next 2+ years. So excuse me, I have to go play The Last of Us Part 2 NO RETURN again on my 4K 65” HDTV and my PS5. The only way I play games now!

I wasn't aware open-world games have "endless" side missions...but perhaps you made that exaggerated\false claim to raise linear story games above them.
