You know you’re a prospector when you destroy gold, to find a better method of finding gold. 😂. Great work as always and thanks for sharing

I suspect your table recovered over 95%, and the wet panning of ultra fine is where the 25% was lost. black sand and micro fine gold are nearly impossible to separate with panning. I suggest running the cons 3 or 4 more times to get down to a few ounces of cons. The table you have created is exceptional.

Great vid! A nit-picky suggestion: I read somewhere that "black sand" is probably part hematite - which is SLIGHTLY magnetic. I built a magnetic pickup "thingie" that had a hocky puck shaped 1" "52" magnet with a center hole for attachment to a dowel - that would slide thru a 1" pvc pipe - like the one you have. I squared the end and glued a piece of the thinnest plastic film I could find (a piece of a cigarette pack) on the end. I could, in fact, pick up more "black sand" than I could get with a setup like yours - not a lot, but some. I notice that your "result" that you weighed had enough black in it to discolor it. Because Gold is so gol-darned heavy, the little "black sand" your magnet didn't catch probably is less than the accuracy of the scale you have, but it IS something. Like I said in the beginning, nit-picky, but might be interesting to check - because you're SO AMAZINGLY PRECISE with everything else (a great thing!). By the way - it's a pleasure to see some real science in a prospecting vid - I'm in awe!

Hello Dave. Great little machine you have. Like your attitude about not building it for sale. Just getting your concept out there. As a desert rat and inventor myself, I appreciate your thought process.
Here's a simple name; "The Earthquaker".
Peace, and may the shiny be with you!

Incredible work! You are doing nothing less than overcoming what was previously thought to be impossible: recovering minus 100 and -150 mesh gold using dry processing methods. This is very innovative, and to my knowledge has never been done before. Keep up the amazing work! P.S. Name ideas: Ultrafine Mini Shaker, Micro Shaker, Nano Shaker, Shake N' Take, Micro Shaker 200, The Gold Getter, Micron Gold Machine, Micron Gold Getter.

Your panning example and tip is pretty legendary... never have I ever heard anyone mention such an acurate and super tiny but meaningful detail.

Hi Dave. Great achievement, congratulations. This will help many people. Thank you for your generosity in selflessly sharing your knowledge and resources. I made the water table, but I got the weight wrong. I went a little overboard with the thickness of the aluminum I used for its structure, and it weighs 7.5 kg with everything, including the magnets. Since I'm building other basic equipment (mill, filters, roaster, and oven), I'm putting the table modification on hold. But I'm sure I'll fix it soon and even make this new "Desert Table."

The potential for this in places where people don't have water or can't get a water permit seems pretty big to me.

Very impressive.

Hahahahaha! The anxiety of your dumping that gold into the sand was definitely a shared emotion, your honest and un filtered reaction was very much enjoyed and gave me a good heart felt laugh! You're a true gem of an individual sir, absolutely a pleasure to watch your videos.
