“In the show, $45.6 billion won is the prize if, like in Season 1, it comes down to a sole winner. When South Korean won are converted to U.S. dollars, the total prize pot sum equates to $30,903,120 dollars as of December 27, 2024, so about $31 million U.S. dollars. Each games opens with 456 players.”

I just want to respond to the person that said something about “he’s a millionaire, not a billionaire”. This is technically true but you have to remember where the setting is taking place. It’s taking place at South Korea, not the USA, which makes Gi-Hun a billionaire.

In a way Gi-hun hasn’t changed besides his outlook on life. He got where he was because he kept gambling his life away, he’s doing the exact same thing here but it’s for a different reason.

Here’s two good examples: 1. The return of the game, he gambled on his security to back him up and follow the tracker, he failed and now he’s stuck and it ended up with more people dying.

2. He sacrificed lives overnight to get his shot at the front man, unfortunately he bet on the wrong guy as his backup and it cost him his best friend.

Much like the choice of “food or scratcher” Gi-hun could’ve chose to see his daughter and live a happy life, but he chose to get his chance of revenge.

The dachi(sorry if it's wrong) man reminds me of gman. Very secretive, observing the MC and doesn't reveal much about his employers
