I stated listening to him when I was 52 laying in a hospital bed after a heart attack. Along with Steve Lawson and Voddie Baucham. I was a believer at the time already. God began to then open my eyes to the depths and width of the Gospel. Almost 57 now and doing well since that day. Still feel like I have hardly scratched the surface of this glorious Gospel of God. By grace alone, by faith alone, by Christ alone is my salvation.

I first heard John MacArthur when I was 21 years old. I am now 56. As far as establishing my world view, no one plays a bigger role than John MacArthur.

This is why I love John Macarthur. He was instrumental in helping me leave the Pentecostal Church and learning how to study scripture. Love you John Macarthur my brother in Christ

I wish that there were more preachers like this man. I was in a seeker sensitive church and end upon leaving in the midst of the pandemic as the messages preached remained the same. Nothing that convicts the soul, nothing that warns sinners, nothing that espoused the fullness of Christ. I’m now asking God to help me find a decent church. God please help me.

This is what happens when one devotes his entire adult life to the study and exposition of the scripture. Effective exegesis on display here. Thank you 🙏🏾 John MacArthur for your preaching ministry. You are a blessing to all who seek to understand the TRUTH of the Word of God!

This is the kind of preaching and teaching that I crave to hear and I hope all other Christians do as well. Thanks be to God for the power of His Word. I will be listening to this message again and again.

I doubt Mr. John MacArthur will ever read this but thank you for everything you’ve done with your sermons. You’ve helped me better understand what the Lord wants from me and focus on that rather than what I want from the Lord; very humbling. Your quote on “being a trash can” hit me like a sack of potatoes. ❤️
