  The &quot;time traveling&quot; is completely different in the Books. Jake also never leaves the children, but stays with them in 1943.

  To explain the end, he got to a loop in 1942, then joined the navy until <b>he</b> could get to 1943 (and the right place - the pier) to then get off and into <b>their</b> loop.

  I enjoyed this movie, but I&apos;ll never forgive them for switching Emma and Olive. He&apos;s supposed to fall in love with Emma, the girl with the fire powers, not Olive, the girl who&apos;s untethered and needs to be on a leash lest she floats up into the sky.<br><br>I don&apos;t usually mind when they change stuff from books, but it has to at least make sense and not be some big drastic change like this. There was no reason to switch their names and have him get with Olive(floating girl) instead. There was a scene in book 2 I believe where Emma(fire girl) is resistant to him and her feelings because she doesn&apos;t want to hurt him and he proves how much he cares for her by kissing her. The kiss literally burns him, but he doesn&apos;t break and keeps the kiss going. It was a sweet moment I wanted to see if they ever do the sequel, but I guess we won&apos;t get to see that now.

  I think the reason why they kept Victor&apos;s body is because Miss Peregrine felt so much guilt for what happened. All the children were under her protection and she wasn&apos;t capable of protecting Victor. She knows he&apos;s dead, but can&apos;t &nbsp; let him go. Not only her, but even the sister who&apos;s still a child and can&apos;t imagine not seeing him again. Even though dead

  I haven&apos;t seen anyone mention this, and its been a REALLY long time since ive read all the books BUT Jakes power isnt JUST seeing the hollows. He is able to see peculiar souls. This is really gone into depth in the third book &quot;Library of Souls&quot; its REALLY cool. Theres really a lot missing in this movie about the lore of this world. theres a whole &apos;tales of the peculiar&apos; book that is mentioned throughout the books, that help them find other lost loops and help other peculiars fight the remaining time jumpers and hollows that still hunt them through the series. also, in &quot;A Map of Days&quot; the time jumping/traveling is also further explained.<br><br>Fantastic series, super fun to read, really easy to read, and you get to see the original trick photographs the stories were based on!<br>Awesome reaction guys! so glad to see yall watched this!

  It&apos;s Enoch&apos;s peculiarity, with enough hearts he can bring anything to life, on the movie it&apos;s shown as a more traumatic thing but in the books it&apos;s shown to bring Bronwen some level of joy when Enoch brings Victor back to life and it causes Viktor some sadness as well cause unlike here he actually brings their souls back as well and they normally aren&apos;t too happy about it

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6t1E02XAzY&amp;t=3095">51:35</a> from what&apos;s explained in the movie (i havent read the books), is that the children exit the 2016 time loop and enter 1943 at a specific time. So when Jake travels to 1942, the children aren&apos;t at the pier because technically they don&apos;t exist in this timeline yet - they&apos;re still in 2016. A year passes, and he can time it so he meets them right as they exit the 2016 loop and rejoin 1943. <br><br>They were only going to age rapidly if they stayed in the 2016 loop.

  the hallows do not eat only pecualiar’s eyes but humans (the old man) and animals too (sheep), miss peregrin said herself when jake asked 😅

  ok some lore explanation- Jacob does kinda have true sight! so he can’t see Millard, but it’s also more than just the monsters. like you guys said, it seems like a strange peculiarity if the monsters didn’t always exist. but in the third book it gets into this “library of souls” where peculiar’s souls are stored in jars after they die for other peculiars to borrow later, and only Jacob is able to see/handle the jars. that’s really his true gift.
