I think her going to that restaurant was for personal reasons, not Lumon reasons. I saw it as her trying to see if the chemistry between them would exist in the outside world. She wants what Helly has in a strange way.

Love that we're still getting Severance content over a year after Season 2 aired ❤

The fact that she hung herself in the elevator so her outtie would wake up hanging was such a bad @ move.

I think a big underlying theme of severance is the morality of ending your own life. All of the main characters create innies to escape situations that cause real people to turn to suicide. Loss, abuse, financial stress, the innies are free from these forms of suffering, but traps them in an existence with no future. The show questions whether it is right to deny yourself a future where you have healed, and asks if healing is even possible under capitalism

I grew up quite sheltered and controlled, so i absolutely see how Helena came to be. Jame demanded sacrifice, artifice, perfection yet hates Hena for her "lack of Kiers spirit". He wrenched out the humanity out of her and dares to question why she is so "lacking" everything he so despised. The irony

I cant stop thinking what a wonderful actress Britt Lower is. There were films were one actress/actor played 2 different people, different characters. But to play 2 different persons who are in fact one person - well that is masterpiece of acting.

Helly is Helena’s ideal self.  So its hard to hate Helena since Helly was always latent inside her.  And the show strongly suggests that Helena envies Hellly’s strong emotional connections. Helly has friends and a lover — so far as we know Helena has none of that and must be terribly lonely. And Question whether the outie personality can be changed by Severance like the innies?  Is it sorta like the Star Trek episode The Enemy Within?  (one of the best)

I have such a complex mixture of thoughts and feelings on Helena. She’s brainwashed - she’s basically a soldier for her family name and I think she lets herself believe that that’s the extent of how she wants to live. And I do feel bad for her, definitely, but I just had this inability to have any kind of remorse toward her after what she did to Mark.S , by SA’ing him. It feels like the show is testing our boundaries, how far can Helena go before we tap out of seeing her as helpless. This is why this show is my favourite of all time, it’s so complex! Great video!

One of my biggest disappointments from season 2 was after Helly R. is ACTUALLY allowed to reunite with the MDR crew, she doesnt get to share what she saw during the OTC. Mark just shuts her down and that's that

I love the idea that Helly and Helena are fusing into one.  Lumon is about severance of personalities, but Helena, who is the epitome of Lumon, is going through a fusion.  🤔
