Regarding the depiction of Pashtuns, it evolved in accordance with changes in British policies, specifically from a 'closed border policy' to a 'forward policy '. The initial policy presented a more favorable representation of Pashtuns, whereas the forward policy portrayed them as barbaric, negative, wild, 'blood-thirsty and fanatical.<br>The conqueror writes history, they came, they conquered and they wrote. You don’t expect the people who came to invade us to tell the truth about us.
