Tom Parker needed Elvis more than Elvis needed him!

Elvis would have been a superstar with or without this man. Elvis was a phenomenon.

I strongly believe Elvis would still be alive today had it not been for the Colonel's personal greed. The 1973 Hawaii special was Elvis's last great triumph, a challenge he exceeded. For the next 5 years, it was back to the same cities... the same stages...the same crowds. Elvis died of terminal apathy...he simply did not care any more.

Kept him from good interviews, movies that he wanted to do that could have been oscar worthy and touring the world to see his other fans outside of the U.S. His greed probably broke his joy and spirit. Just saw the movie and it breaks my heart. You touched so many hearts and lives. He couldn't take that from you. Greatest entertainer of all time. ❤ ELVIS

The Colonel held Elvis back from becoming even bigger, going on world tours and doing more interviews. Colonel Tom Parker pushed Elvis to the very edge, pressuring him to do more and more shows, to keep throwing him up on stage no matter how bad his health was. Some people say Elvis died of Drugs, But what really killed him was Colonel Tom Parker!

When Elvis came back from the army, he should have said goodbye to the colonel.

My grandfather knew Tom Parker (when he was the former dog catcher in Tampa Florida) and he disliked him a lot. Grandpa said he wouldn't trust Tom Parker with his worst hunting dog.

I just came here after watching the movie Elvis. I wanted to see the interviews with Colonel Tom Parker. He sounds so cold in this one. Looks like Tom Hanks played his character really well.

Just look at Parker's expression throughout this interview.     No warmth,   no friendliness,  he's just cold,  calculating.    The word 'asshole'  is written all over his face.

He also kept Elvis from touring the world, and Elvis refused movie offers because of Parker.
