author of the story here! i wrote this back in like 2018 and completely forgot about it for years. it was published (without credit or permission 🙄) on some story blog a little while ago and blew up a little again. i’m glad it got its own narration! hope everyone likes it. thanks Mr. Creeps!

I don't know what is going on with the ads, but as someone who listens to these stories as I go to sleep, they have nearly rendered the product unusable. About the time I doze off, someone pops up yelling at me about their newest product, so it is either loud noises for a minute or I have to pick up my device and skip the ad. Interrupting sleep is a war crime, by the way
