  The fact that basically you have to &quot;lie&quot; to have a better chance at a job is a factor i always hated when i applied for a job ,since my parents drilled it into my brain that i should never do it .

  I&apos;m 21 and feel like my life is already over, not trying to trauma dump but we&apos;re getting evicted and my entire household is riding on my salary and yeah it feels like my life is already over, but this, this gives me hope. Thank you honestly

  I felt this story. &nbsp;Went electrical engineering, wasn&apos;t feeling it. &nbsp;Tried to pursue art, wasn&apos;t really skilled enough. &nbsp;Fell back on CS, got a bachelors snd masters. &nbsp;2008 financial crisis hit and it was a either crappy dev jobs or long stretches of unemployment. &nbsp;Tried to make any creative outlet I had into something paying: &nbsp;Writing, Board Game design, Tabletop RPG design, and even Video game design. &nbsp;Just flops all around. &nbsp;Had fun trying but no messureable success.<br><br>Thankfully, I got a job at my old university. &nbsp;It was good, but definitely wasn&apos;t doing the best mentally. &nbsp;Ended up doing writing prompts on a lark and enjoyed them. &nbsp;One turned into a million word serial that served ss a much needed outlet. &nbsp;Is it good enough for anything official? &nbsp;Hell no. &nbsp;But, it works enough for me. &nbsp;Keeps me sane enough in this crazy world.<br><br>Very happy you got recognized for your talent and found a route into a field that appreciates it. &nbsp;Sometimes when the front door doesn&apos;t work, you got try the back bathroom window.

  I was recently told by a psychiatrist that I have bipolar and I&apos;ve been doubting that it&apos;s possible for me to live a normal life where I can support myself and pursue my artistic passions. This is really inspiring to hear about, thank you.
