They facts are that both durk and jam were using each other from jump. Jam allowed durk to rap about his crimes like he was part of the group that committed them, and durk took care of jam financially while he was locked up. So when jam came out, durk gave him a big bag of cash and basically said you do the shooting and I'll do the rapping. They were both parasites to a certain degree but who knows, maybe they became close friends when jam got out but they both understood the dynamic of the relationship from day 1.
