  My mum went to this about 40 years ago and she said what she saw was absolutely true the way the light moved around the room was incredible

  Like any other miracle, some people see but in the same time some people don&apos;t see.<br>I personally have seen a candle lighting up by itself! So, I don&apos;t know and I don&apos;t care how Patriarch lights on his candles, I only know what I have seen by my own eyes.<br>Glory to God!

  A item to mention here, is that before the Israelis monitored this event, the Ottomans also attempted to prove the event a fraudulent. The muslims were unable to prove fraud, and they have every reason to claim it to be that… so I am going to go with it is a miracle.

  I think the most concerning thing, is that it is a common attitude in Orthodoxy between the clergy and laity.<br>Not outright fabrication all the time, but more or less if the Clergy gets wind of something that is spreading among the laity that is untrue but sounds miraculous they will not dismiss it but rather entertain it. Lore is very important in Eastern Orthodoxy, and I believe that this breeds pagan like beliefs/practices and a distrust towards the clergy from laity, inquires, and outsiders alike!

  I have uploaded some footages that proves the holy fire is miraculous and doesn&apos;t burn. Also a video of the Sacristan of the Holy Tomb for 39 years Monk Panteleimon narrating how he saw a blue fire over the slab of the tomb after the Patriarch exits the tomb and he enters first.

  The fact a building in the Middle East gives fire to every person and is not burnt down illustrates how muraculous it is. No offence to the Middle East, but how many old buildings would catch fire with that many people swimging fire around?<br><br>Miracle.

  The holy fire is true, but the Orthodox Church does not wish to make this a matter of faith; even if the fire were not to descend, the Church would remain steadfast in the faith—as has indeed happened at times throughout history. There are other signs that occur annually as well: on Mount Tabor, during the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior, a big cloud arrives to cast its shadow during the service of the church from there &nbsp;; the Jordan River reverses its flow prior to the celebration of the Lord&apos;s Baptism; the annual miracle involving the blooming of dried lilies at the icon of the Mother of God &quot;Gravaliotissa&quot; in Greece during the Dormition Fast, and the arrival of a species of small snakes—each bearing a cross-like mark on its head—on August 6th (the Transfiguration) and August 15th (the Dormition of the Mother of God) at the church from Kefalonia , they come to encircle the church, then enter the presence of the icon and bow their heads, displaying the white cross-like mark they bear. and there are the miracles wrought by holy relics and wonder-working icons, the miracles of Holy Water ... What we must all understand is that the Orthodox Church does not rely on these signs, for we know that God has His own way of revealing His power; the greatest proof is the fact that the Church has withstood the test of time amidst all attempts at denigration and attacks on every front. The Orthodox Church is grounded in living out the Gospel within the Church and in daily life; it does not seek miracles for the sake of acclaim, yet they come from God when the moment is right . As an Orthodox Christian born in a land that has been Orthodox for millennia, I require no further proof of Orthodoxy&apos;s authenticity: our saints bear witness to it, as do our churches and the Christian leaders who triumphed over every pagan invasion —God has kept us steadfast til this day. Great is God!

  The problem is people mistake the candle flame and ignore the mysterious blue light. that is the uncreated energy of God . That is the true holy fire.
