I used all my queen excluders this year, i had trouble with the queen laying in the lowest honey super. But this was not a normal year. Hottest i can remember with little to no flowers for the bees.

Surely repeated friction to the bodies of the bees would cause injury. I don't understand why it is always such a desire to get more produce out of a tiny insect that gives everything of itself to the workings of the hive.
