I had no idea how much work this video was actually going to be, so I'm grateful you guys are appreciating it. My goal was simple: help people save money while eating better. Let me know if I achieved it, and, again, let me know if you'd like to see another one on produce or anything else.

Little bit of lore for the video...
I tried making this about a year ago right before egg prices skyrocketed. I was willing to look past that until I noticed everything else had jumped in price by 50 cents to $1. Totally threw me off. Everything I recorded was useless lol. That being said, all the prices you see in this video are from Cincinnati, Ohio. And all of them were recorded over the last month (July 2026).

While I'm here, if you want to stay up to date on things I'm thinking about in regards to health and meal prep (including the occasional free recipe), check out the newsletter. Link below and in the description.
📌Join The Meal Prep Guide Waitlist + Bi-Monthly Newsletter:
https://ethanpaff.kit.com/5bedcb5564

The concept of grass fed beef/dairy is wild. In Ireland cows just eat grass. It's not called grass fed beef here, it's just called beef.

I love Aldis man. Not only can I get stuff for great prices, but I don’t have to buy 100 lbs of it per trip like Costco, and I don’t have to fight the hordes of people who have never seen a shopping cart in their life.

Aldi BONUS: Check out the European products like chocolates, pasta, cheeses that other stores don’t carry. And throughout the year there are special European country products for sale to watch for (Italian week, German week, Spain, France, as well as Christmas sweets from Germany.

This is what YouTube was made for. Thanks for the excellent research video. I greatly appreciate it!

it pains me greatly to say this, but grocery stores have made this topic a lot more complicated: not only do they have different prices per region, but they also have totally different pricing strategies per region (so while they may prioritize making milk cheaper in one area, they may not in another)...and they also have seasonal pricing strategies, so even within a region, this may change season to season 😬

I will only pay more if the meat quality is actually better and worth it.

Trying to find a “cheaper” alternative but sacrificing the health part is not a good tier list. When it comes to health, knowing how to spot the gimmicks and scams is important but so is also knowing when spending the extra $$$ for better health overall is key.

If you live near a Lidl please give it a try. The prices are reasonable, the quality is far better than Adil and you can source trace all the products
