A mini factoid for Shin and his loyal legion of followers (of which I'm one): Dupar's opened in 1938 at the legendary LA Farmers Market. When I first moved to LA, they had one right across the street from my job in the Valley at the time. Back then I thought their omelets were the best in the business. Now when I go to the Summerlin shop I usually get their incredible pancakes or equally incredible French toast. You won't go wrong with either choice.

Might just head over to the Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles on Sunday for breakfast at Du-par's. Thanks for reminding just how good breakfast is there. Their pies are yummy too!

When I used to go to Du-Pars, I would take either the cream of chicken soup or the sausage gravy, spread it on a pancake, and roll it up and eat it. I know it's not for everyone, but their cream of (anything) soup was always up to the task and who hates gravy on pancakes? I know I'm weird, but seeing that soup again brought me right back. Thank you Shin!!
