I'm Curious do you guys disagree with any of the decision making? What would you do differently?

"It's not about the gear" - Continues to showcase a lighting setup with gear for 1000's of dollors.

I accidentally clicked the video, but then once I started watching I watched it till the end. I am passionate about film making. Great video man! Enhanced my perspective about cinema-making.

Saying that its not about the gear you use but then using a 1000+ dollar lighting set up is crazy

I am sorry, don't get me wrong, everything is so great, but I couldn't make myself not see the lack of sweat in this stressful moment. That would elevate the scene so much

6:52 When you go from tripod/lock off… to hand held. You could also describe it as going from being in control, to losing control... It gives the scene that feeling.

I use to think it's all about the camera but now I know it's about the lighting 😊❤

Are you an actor first? You look great on camera and your acting is next level, truly up there. Not what I came here for but be a liar if didnt express how impressive that aspect was! Looked fantastic too!

devils advocate here: one of the most misunderstoos "trends" in modern cinematography(last ten years especially) is the over use of color contrast. its more a neon style than classical cinematic. look at most of the greatest films ever made. they focus first on shades of color palettes. not contrasts. and whenever its strong contrast between cold and warm, it should never be 50/50 but more like 80/20 - or even less.

Damn the way you work as a Director/DP is amazing, and your acting skills is great too! Sherman Johnson is a fantastic help, the other actor is menacing too, Kudos to all of you guys and thanks Alex for showing the improvements!🔥
