This is so sad, but this is probably what Sonic in the real games would want. He would want to be not bounded by his memory with a statue, but with his spirit being free like the winds he defied for his life.

Everyone’s just beating the shit out of Shadow
Making Sonic an Icarus to give a funeral would make sense because he just wants to be free as the wind.

i feel like despite how he portrays himself and his apparent hate for sonic, shadow would definitely mourn the death of his one and only brother (they were both born from the power of the chaos emeralds, although in a different way) and rival

The part when Shadow gave Sonic one of his inhibitor rings before throwing him in the sun was so beautiful and depressing. I loved this comic even tho it almost made me sob ❤️‍🩹💙

2:36

The idea that sonic wouldn’t have wanted a grave or memorial is actually acceptable, given he just comes and goes, so yeah pretty accurate, ( also don’t care about the sexual stuff here, just the general idea the video gives bout sonic)
