I learned a lot from the magazine when I was young: good cigars, good cognac, good wine, good short stories, painting and photography. And, well, the photos of women. But I always preferred women in real life. Mostly dressed.

My friend that passed away recently worked her way through college as a “bunny” and said that her experience was fun, clean, wholesome and there were many rules that she had to follow. The documentary was very interesting and I will definitely recommend it to others!

Internet killed the magazine, the www was a huge game changer . but Hef made it, he lived in his fantasy life until his death.

I love how the prosecutor was carrying his trial kit in a Jays potato chips box at 1:14! I miss Jays potato chips and the days when you would reuse boxes you picked up at the grocery store

I always found the pictorial section like eye candy but also respectful and feminine and tasteful. Not cheap porn. They had great interviews and articles. . The man was no saint, far from perfect. But come on gotta give credit where credit is due He worked his ass off to make Playboy iconic

That first girl's disloyalty and deception stung him for life and he swung to the other extreme.

My Uncle worked on the editorial staff for Hef - three years until he left. Hef lost total sight of his original concept: the magazine in which everything would be available to men now was competing with the raunchiness and anything goes of other magazines that emerged. My uncle moved across the street from Playboy to start Gallery with F Lee Bailey. Hefner was incensed and they got into a verbal fight on the street

None of the women who went to Playboy were victims. They went of their own free will.
