What I found most interesting as a takeaway from this interview is that this guy deeply cares about and understands humanity.

After leaving my former law enforcement job, I had an opportunity to work with Wes for a short time. Dude is as legit as it gets. Not just a great cop but a great guy with a wealth of knowledge through his life experiences.

To anyone who is looking to get into law enforcement or you’re a rookie in the field, trust me when I say you want to find guys with honesty and integrity like Wes. It will propel you to wherever you want to go in your career.

Wesley, thank you for your service. You brought back to memory the feelings I too had while serving our country. Especially when agreeing on the adrenaline issue. I retired w 25yr4mnth and completely walked away leaving many great people (some of which remind me of you) including memories of which I will never forget. Our country sometimes forgets how many of the good guys/gals are out here. God speed Wesley. Thank you for your incredible service. One sierra three.

I wonder what would have become of me if I never discovered this channel. These interviews have given me so much, I'll probably never be able to quantify exactly how much.

I think Mark is doing a public service by having people share their stories because they give others an opportunity to reflect and make sense of their trauma because it all seems to have the same foundations

Wesley, I’m a paraplegic and know what it’s like to have an accident like that. It’s truly terrifying in a way that only people who have been through it can understand. The look your brother had in his eyes is the same my mom had when she found me laying in the yard after I fell off a ladder. I’m glad you recovered and it gives me hope that maybe someday I will too. Thank you for sharing your story, I applaud your dedication to the Law.
