I have never heard the "One Piece Isn't Political" take from anyone whose opinion actually matters in the OP community, LOL. Good video.

My favorite non-political scene in One Piece is when Luffy declares war on the entire World Government and has Sogeking light their flag on fire. Wish Usopp had been there.

Watching anything abt pirates and not perceiving some form of anti-authoritarianism is willful ignorance.

My favorite non-political scene in One Piece was when an entire island was genocided because they knew how to read a language the government didnt want them to

I'm so glad One Piece isn't political. Wouldn't it be so fu*ked up if things like slavery, genocide, colonization, no press freedom, revolutionaries, pirates and other such 'fictional' ideas existed in our real world?

My favourite non-political scene in one piece is every backstory of literally every single named character

Thank god I'm not the only Fishman Island Stan. The villain isn't Hody Jones, the villain is the oppression we carried along the way.

My favorite non-political panel in One Piece, is Franky going "Existing is not a crime". Ya'll know that? That one part of the panel with the biggest text.

I'm not surprised by this. There are people that love Rage Against the Machine and complain about the group members being political. People enjoy Star Trek, but don't see the socialist society with free resources. Or Star Wars with its whole colonizing Empire but get upset when there a female main character....

The straw hat is literally the symbol of the working class. The farmers, construction workers, labourers. Monkey D Dragon the leader of the revolutionary army has a ship named (WIND GRANMA). Literally the ship that carried CHE GUEVARA  and the cuban revolutionaries.
