  This is frustrating. The provinces need to start working together. BC is cutting off the West Coast, Quebec is cutting off access to one of Canada&apos;s lathesy refineries on the East Cost. <br><br>If they&apos;d allow these projects, not only would it open new markets, but it would reduce reliance on foreign oil. The East Coast refinery has been importing crude oil from the Middle East. If they had direct pipeline with Alberta, they could reduce that need.

  We’ve known for months that the new pipeline would follow the same route as the existing transmountain and transmountain expansion, to the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 project. This will be a deep-water port capable of supporting VLCC tankers though there is environmental opposition. The existing Westridge Marine Terminal is not deep enough for large tankers – The Aframax tankers can only fill to 75% without running aground. A dredging project will allow the small tankers to fill 100% - expected to start this month – not sure how long it will take.<br> <br>Roberts Bank will take about a decade to build; the new pipeline should be finished about the same time and is expected to cost $44 billion. For context, the original transmountain pipeline in 1953 cost $93 million, took 30 months to complete and is still operational.<br> <br>The North Coast tanker ban is firmly entrenched in Canadian law. The memory of the Exxon Valdez disaster must be fading, or the option wouldn’t even be discussed!

  At the acurrent time, Alberta is facing an upcoming independence referendum vote this fall. &nbsp;I submit that Carney and the federal government would commit to building an oil pipeline to a proposed terminal in northern B.C. under this state of uncertainty. I know that it it were me, I would demand a high degree of confidence before committing to such a large investment.

  I’m good with expanding existing pipeline capacity, so long as it doesn’t reduce our oil and LNG export volume. But I would like to see a new pipeline from Alberta to the port of Churchill. Diversifying away from the U.S. makes sense given the economic situation the U.S. is in. I expect they’ll soon lose their USDReserve currency status as they struggle to maintain the $40T in treasury bonds in addition to their unfinanced future obligations including, Medicare, Medicaid, pensions, etc. how will they handle this? They can’t grow their way out of it. Raising taxes would be political suicide. Issuing $5000 checks Republican supporters if the Republicans take both the house and the Senate in the midterms is delusional. They either declare bankruptcy and refuse to pay their bonds or make the money printer go bbbrrr. Pipe inflation in both cases. There’s the gold revaluation theory marking the bullion in Federal vaults to market or possibly higher than the $42.22 per oz it’s currently valued at far below market value could improve the balance sheet dramatically. I know that bankrupcy is something that Trump is very familiar with, but on the other hand, revaluing wing gold it’s just the kind of sneaky accountanting trick Trump and friends by which I’m in the Epstein community could all profit from mightily if they knew what the new price would be and when it would be revalued. I appreciate your hard work John keep it up. Thank you.

  Carney talks a big game; my opinion his talk is cheap; &nbsp;there is no chance he can herd the canadian cats into a plan of that scale and Focus. There are too many NIMBY vested interest.
