I love how geologists offficially named a one-billion-year-gap in Earth's history "The Boring Billion" just because the planet forgot to build a new supermountain to spped up evolution!

Everest used to be 29,028 Feet tall. They re-measured it and it was 29,032 feet. What happened? Well, they didn't realize it at all. The 2015 Nepal Earthquake pushed it up three feet... in our lifetime.
