Just my two cents

(1) It's a misconception that South Africans don't like hard work and especially in instances where this is phrased to sound like we don't like hard labor because we're South Africans.

No one likes hard labor. The people that do hard labor do it primarily because (1) they don't have many alternatives and (2) because they have the skill to do it. There may be other reasons they do it but these are the primary reasons. Hard labor doesn't pay well and that's one of the reasons a lot of people don't do it.

South Africans are increasingly becoming educated and it is natural that people will move away from hard, low-paying jobs to less strenuous, higher-paying jobs.

(2) I'm not sure that the GNU is making any tangible improvements worth talking about. Maybe from a policy point of view but that's about it. Unfortunately, policy means nothing unless it benefits people directly and we haven't seen that. I'll rank the biggest threats to the SA economy today - (a) corruption, (b) crime and violence, (3) institutional collapse (police and the army/navy) and (4) poor economic growth.

The GNU has done nothing to address these concerns. Even if you had top 10 threats, policy wouldn't be one of them. Just do the work and stop writing policies.

(3) Fully agreed on the constitution. This doesn't work for South Africans. It wasn't designed to benefit ordinary South Africans and needs an almost complete overhaul. It is one of the most lopsided pieces of legislation you'll ever read in the entire world.

When all is said by Zimasa, the people shall govern. Thank you very very much my brother for embedding the information we know and some that we don't know. You are highly respected and appreciated. Salute
