  Even in the absence of Jobs, Apple&apos;s engineering culture was amazing. For example: back in 1998, I plugged a pair of external speakers into my Quadra tower. Not only did the internal speaker stay on, it automatically BECAME A SUBWOOFER. <i>WHO DOES THAT!?</i> Absolutely brilliant.

  In 2000, I had a B&amp;W Power Mac G3 that had been upgraded to a 400 Mz. G4 CPU, and Apple 17-inch CRT monitor.

  This era of macs got me excited about computers in elementary school. I used to run to the computer room for typing class to make sure I could grab my fav colour before anyone else. I am now an IT professional.

  I had a PowerMac G4 with the 20inch Cinema Display that my Dad got me refurbished from the Apple Store. Man I loved that thing. honestly one of the best PCs I ever had.

  Something even more striking about that version of internet explorer is that some menus (mainly the rightclick/context menu and address bar suggestions) actually have <b>UI BLUR</b> on them. The first time I saw it myself, I thought it was some kind of bug; but they are in fact transparent with gaussian blur behind them. I would imagine it&apos;s static or using a screenshot, but they can pull that off because there would never be movement behind these things while they&apos;re open.
