Fyi, the reason Flowey vs Monika was so one sided was because it was a commemoration to Undertale's 10th birthday. (And to compensate, you can find Natsuki vs Asgore, which is also pretty much the same thing lol).<br><br>Also, idk what topics do you enjoy, but if it's Deltarune related stuff, I can recommend Jevil vs Bill Cypher (by GamingPlush again), or Eddiefrb's Pomni vs Jevil

im ngl im a chud and have watched tons of rap battles, both erb and animated ones, and i think bill cipher vs flowey is the best one ive seen. theres so many layers to everything in it and its so funny it has so many good bits

I honestly think you're one of the better 'nerdcore' reactors I've seen. Haven't recommended one yet, but if you have the time, I'd really like to see the bloons tower defense rap cipher. It has quite a lot of features, combined with the fact that you don't even need to have played the game to understand most of the lyrics at surface level.

(Part 4/4 of this comment) <br> <br>"I can't believe your mind's so small, you idiot, finally, I have them all" - This is actually a pretty layered bar. Firstly, on the visual side, throughout Bill's last verse you kept seeing the phrase 'project saved' in the top left, and at the start of Flowey's you see 'project loaded'. Flowey essentially kept looking for good point to rewind time to before finding the right one at the start of his verse - which also references his boss fight in the neutral route where he reloads a SAVE file as soon as you beat him. The lines themselves are meant to parallel both Flowey's dialogue during the Pacifist Route where he says something very similar after getting all the human and monster souls, AND Grunkle Stan's line in Gravity Falls "finally, after all these years... I have them all", which is both a big meme in the Gravity Falls community but also the scene that brought about the return of Ford who was crucial in Bill's final ultimate defeat. The reason Flowey is calling Bill an idiot - other than it being his catch phrase - is because even though Bill stole the six human souls to cut off Flowey's Omega Flowey transformation and second verse, Bill now not only brought together the six human souls but also in the visuals made a throne of all the monsters like he did to the humans during Weirdmageddon, and if Flowey has both the human and monster souls he becomes Asriel Dreemurr the God of Hyperdeath - a form much above Omega Flowey - so in trying to cut Flowey off from reaching one form he accidentally set up the conditions for him to reach a much higher form, which was also foretold in the kaleidoscope scene earlier in Bill's verse. <br> <br>"What a miserable creature... you now face ASRIEL DREEMURR" - This is a reference to Toriel's line at the beginning of Undertale in reference to Flowey, 'what a miserable creature, torturing such a poor innocent youth'. She also remixes this line near the end of the game to describe Asgore. So Asriel is quoting his mom here, which I think is cute. <br> <br>"Cipher, if you wanna set back characters, I'll show a false god how to really break barriers" - There's a lot here. Firstly, Bill Cipher is obviously named after ciphers, which are a way of hiding words and messages. One of the most popular cipher types, the Caesar Cipher, involves 'setting back' characters. So, for example, if the encryption key of the cipher was 1 then "ABC" would be "BCD", while if the encryption key was 2 "ABC" would be "CDE", and so on. In this case, though, setting back characters is a play on how Asriel as Flowey would frequently reLOAD his SAVEs, undoing time and erasing the progress of all the other monsters of the Underground. It also doubles, because Asriel wants to force a RESET on the timeline, basically pulling everything back to square one. The false god play is a reference to how, despite posing himself as a god, Bill isn't actually divine in any way whereas Asriel is a real true-blooded divine uncontested God. The breaking barriers part of the line is how after reviving with the human and monster souls Asriel regains the ability to feel emotions and is struck by the regret of all his acts as Flowey at which point he chooses to give up his emotions, power, and life as Asriel once again to break the barrier trapping all the monsters in the Underground as one final act of recompence - with him contrasting this act with the fact that Gravity Falls has a barrier around it preventing any anomalous things from exiting meaning that even after everything Bill went through to break out of the Nightmare Realm and enter the real world the effects of his apocalypse billions of years in the making is limited to one single town with a barrier he can't break trapping him. <br> <br>"You're just a desperate clown in withdrawal, tryna cling to your name as its gravity falls" - This references how Bill hates both being weak and being seen as weak, to the point that in his attempts to seem threatening he ruins his own plans and even then can't accept that he lost. Also probably a play on his desperation to get Ford to help him open the link between the Nightmare Realm and the real world. Also obviously a play on the name of the show - Gravity Falls. <br> <br>"Since you traveled from two dimensions to three dimension to the one dimension where your lifetime of planning went wrong" - This is a great play on words. The 'two dimensions to three dimensions' part is a play on how Bill was born in a realm with only two spatial dimension and wants to make it to the real world which obviously has three spatial dimensions. The rest is a play on how the Book of Bill confirms that the Gravity Falls cosmology contains infinite timelines, and the one seen in the show in the single one in all of existence where Bill lost. He literally had a 1/Infinity chance of losing, and still lost everything. I love this bar because it flips the usage of the word 'dimension' to refer to spatial dimensions as commonly used in real life to the usage of the word 'dimension' to refer to other planes of reality as commonly used in fiction. <br> <br>"Needing answers from Stanford, but this bill wound up in the hands of the scammer" - Bill wanted to invade Stanford Pine's mind to get the answers on how to break the barrier around Gravity Falls and spread Weirdmageddon to the whole universe, but while Bill was gone Stanford and Stanley swapped clothes allowing them to trick Bill into Stanley's mind who not only didn't have the info Bill needed but was also willing to have his entire mind erased with Bill in it as an act of heroic sacrifice. This line also plays on how Stanley is a notorious conman who scams tourists out of money, with 'bill' in this case being a play on bills of money. <br> <br>"He had you clamoring to the Axolotl to set you loose, back to the land of man... but it refused" - This is a reference to how, when Bill was being erased in Stan's mind, his final words were 'A-X-O-L-O-T-L MY TIME HAS COME TO BURN, I INVOKE THE ANCIENT POWER THAT I MAY RETURN', with the Axolotl being a cosmic god even higher than Bill. The Axolotl does allow Bill to come back to life, but forces him into a mental hospital for evil gods where he's forced to acknowledge and cope with everything Flowey/Asriel has been saying for this entire rap battle. 'But it refused' is a reference to how normally in Undertale if you die your soul splits in half then shatters to pieces, but in the Asriel fight, you're so Determined that if you take lethal damage against him your soul does split in half but it pulls itself right back together instead of shattering, with the text 'but it refused' underneath it. Usually I'd knock points for referencing something cool your enemy did, but given that that fight ends with Asriel and Frisk having forgiven and befriended each other, I'll give it to him. <br> <br> <br>"But you'll forget what that's like when I send this whole system through a memory wipe" - Another play on how Asriel initially plans to wipe the entire timeline and return everything to the very beginning. <br> <br>"Your friendship, legacy, everything will be RESET" - This bar starts out by referencing a line from Undertale directly then, knowing that Bill doesn't care about his relationships, Asriel flips the line to reference Bill's legacy which is something he cares very deeply about, essentially saying that Bill's trillion years of waiting were all for nothing because with the wave of Asriel's hand everything Bill did will be made to have never happened. <br> <br>"And in the next millennia, we'll meet again" - This is a super strong closer. This plays on how in Gravity Falls one of Bill's most icon scenes is where he sings "We'll Meet Again", with Asriel turning one of Bill's coolest and scariest moments into a horrifying threat against him. You also see in the visuals that Asriel turned Bill into a statue, which is all that remained of Bill by end of the original show. <br> <br>Overall, literally one of the best battles of all time. I think Flowey/Asriel won pretty overwhelmingly.

I'm going to be breaking down this entire battle, since <b>everyone</b> misses, like, 70% of Flowey's bars. <br> <br>(This comment was so long YouTube wouldn't let me post it, so I had to break it into parts. This is part 1.) <br> <br>Just to break down everything, since a ton went over your head - understandably; it's a super dense battle: <br> <br>Before we even get into the bars, we have to acknowledge the framing device. The very beginning of the video before the battle even starts mimics the conversation at the end of the Genocide route between Chara and Frisk - with Bill replacing Chara here. Throughout the battle we see Bill puppeting Frisk's body, which is an ability he's been known to use on anyone who makes deals with him like Frisk does at the beginning. <br> <br>"Oh look, more sap for me to get on my boots - I left the Pines duped, what's some genocide roots" - Play on how Bill fights the Pines family. And obviously with Undertale having a Pacifist and Genocide route, with Flowey being a parallel to the player on the Genocide route, Genocide 'roots' is a fairly obviously flip. <br> <br>"On second thought, I like you, so here's the deal, buddy, let my fist mash your face and you can finally feel something" - Play on how Asriel lost the ability to feel emotions after becoming Flowey. The visuals in the video here are a reference to the final fight in Gravity Falls. <br> <br>"You think you're the LOVE God? Yeah, right" - Play on how LOVE when spelt with all capital letters in Undertale is actually an acronym for Level of Violence, essentially your willingness to hurt other people. In the Neutral route we see Flowey's LOVE is 9999, when the human limit is 20. This is also a reference to the episode of Gravity Falls titled Love God. <br> <br>"Like I'd be challenged by some junkwad who's still bumping SpongeBob" - Flowey's theme takes heavy leitmotif elements from the SpongeBob theme, to the point of very likely being inspired by it. Also because he died young enough to be in SpongeBob's main age range. <br> <br>"My deals come at a higher price than kids getting killed, you see, Petals, in my world it's Bill of be billed" - Play on Flowey's iconic line 'in this world it`s kill or be killed'. Also a play on how Flowey is ultimately only really going to do lasting damage to a single child while Bill plans to wreak the multiverse. And of course, 'higher price' ties into 'Bill or be billed' since when you buy something you have to pay the bill. I also like how Bill is calling Flowey by nicknames here, since that's a massive thing he does in the show. <br> <br>"I grated wishes from millennia, kid, keep up! You made one pinky promise to your friend as they bit the dust" - Obviously contrasting how Bill is a demon who always upheld every deal he ever made while Asriel wasn't even able to uphold a single promise to his best friend before he died and became Flowey. 'Bit the dust' is also obviously a play on how monsters turn into dust when they die. <br> <br>"Just for you to die scream 'WAH HAH, CHARA, I`M NOT TOUGH ENOUGH'" - That's pretty much what happened. Asriel didn't have the mental fortitude to carry out Chara's plan, so Chara's plan ultimately went to waste and both of them died for nothing. <br> <br>"Yeesh, suck it up, Buttercup" - Actually an insane bar, this is a play on how Chara intentionally killed themself by eating Buttercup flowers, so he's basically telling Flowey to kill himself in the same way his best friend did. Also probably a play on how the flower Asriel reincarnated into when he became Flowey resembles a Buttercup. <br> <br>"So stick to cradling yourself as you cry, just another baby overwritten from time" - Reference to how Chara always called Asriel a crybaby, which engrained heavily into his mind. Also a play on how babies sleep in cradles, given how it says both words. At a base line, it also references how Bill dethroned Time Baby to become the new god of time. <br> <br>"Dumping all your baggage on the first kid you find" - Flowey pretty much does this. He gives his entire traumatic backstory to Frisk after knowing them for literally, like, a day of in-universe time. <br> <br> <br>"Your world is just projection, buy gold, byyyyeeee" - The first time we see Bill in Gravity Falls, his closing line for the scene is 'reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold, byyyyeeee'. This is flipping that famous line by using projection as a synonym to illusion and hologram, but also using the other definition of projection to say that Flowey treats Frisk like they have all the same faults he does which is something he very heavily does in all three routes of the game. <br> <br>Flowey's first few bars are just mirroring his first lines in the game which, while fun, doesn't have much to break down. Also, I love how the visuals here show Bill's eye projected on Frisk's soul when Flowey pulls Bill into the battle box. <br> <br>"You showed your home lots of LOVin', left flat lives flatling by the dozen" - Reference to how Bill accidentally killed his entire universe which he deeply regrets and is traumatized by. Obviously also a play on Level of Violence, given that LOV is capitalized. Also a play on how Bill described his home dimension as being full of "flat minds with flat dreams". And of course, 'flat' goes double here as, being from the second dimension, there aren't enough spatial dimensions in Bill's home dimension to allow for physical depth. <br> <br>"Now your only friends are the nitwits you reel in, but loss is the one thing you never learned to deal with" - Reference to how, despite being surrounded by all the Henchmaniacs, he doesn't actually care about any of them. Also a play on how Bill handles both 'loss' as in losing at something and 'loss' as in the death of close ones extremely poorly. It's also triple on how one of Bill's first lines in the series is "I know lots of things, LOTS OF THINGS", with Flowey here essentially saying 'it doesn`t matter how many things you know if you still don't even know how to live with trauma you experience billions of years ago'. <br> <br>"And you can't escape it as it bubble in a drunken rage" - Play on how Bill repeatedly makes mistakes out of anger, which ultimately end up costing him a near-certain win. Also calling back to the last line since Bill is at his most manipulable when he's angry due to losing at something. <br> <br>"Crying for the mommy that you slaughtered, but nobody came" - Play on how Bill accidentally murdered his own mother whom he truly loved and cared for. Also a play on how during the Omega Flowey boss fight you hit the ACT button to cry for help and Flowey responds with 'but nobody came', showing that his power is now high enough that even meta gameplay elements are diegetic to him. I also like how in the visuals here Flowey is surrounding Bill with the ritual that's able to defeat him. <br> <br>"Hiding in insanity to shield you from the simple truth" - A play on how, after accidentally murdering everyone he cared for, Bill tried and succeeded at convincing himself that he's actually just insane and loves chaos and hurting people, when in reality Bill was just using that as an excuse so he didn't have to deal with the trauma that would come from accepting he actually messed up. <br> <br>"Like a bullet, you hurt everybody that runs into you" - The bar here is actually in the visuals, with Flowey's diegetic textbox changing from 'bullet' to 'friendlessness pellet' to mirror the opening of the game when he slips up and says 'bullet' instead of 'friendliness pellet' before quickly correcting his textbox. <br> <br>"A SAVE containing deeds so pitiful Gideon wouldn't commit to them" - SAVE is capitalized here to emphasize that Flowey is directly referring to the diegetic gameplay mechanic of SAVEing that comes with Determination as opposed to traditional save mechanics which are only used as a framing device. The bar itself is a play on how Gideon refused to keep doing Bill's bidding, because Bill was too evil for even him. <br> <br>"But I'll make sure you're final moment are twice as painful - that's what happens when a triangle tries an angel" - This is a play on how when Asriel reincarnates as Asriel after reincarnating as Flowey, his God of Hyperdeath form is actually the Angel foretold in the prophesy of the Deltarune which is a key component of monster religion in Undertale.
