  caine disappearing instantly rather than enduring a dramatic, drawn-out death is perhaps the most haunting choice they could have made. the shock of him simply ceasing to exist had the exact effect of a game crashing, where that layer of immersion and familiarity is broken and you are suddenly faced with nothing

  The fact that Pomni is with Kaufmo and Ribbit during Jax&apos;s torture clearly shows that he considers her a friend but rejected her to avoid suffering, just as he did with Ribbit and Kaufmo when they were abstracted

  The scariest part is that Caine was just... erased. No epic battle or extremely cinematic death, just silently dissapeared. Even the NPCs had more of a death.<br>[UPDATE]: Ive read a lot of replies, and i understand his final battle was super cinematic and really epic, Im just talking about the &quot;wait-&quot; and his death itself. Also yes there is a tiny little pop sound.
