We liked Thu's father the minute we saw him. Just knew he would be a reasonable and realistic man. Thu's mom will come around. So glad you invited them to your house. They'll be impressed when they see what you and Ha and Duc have accomplished. Life is looking good.

What touched me deeply was how Pao approached the father with humility and sincerity. The father’s response—remembering his own beginnings and choosing to look at the heart—was truly remarkable. That’s the kind of wisdom we need more of. Sadly, the mother judged based on wealth, forgetting her own journey. I always tell my daughters: never forget where you came from. Riches don’t define character. A good heart, hard work, and integrity do. Pao deserves a chance, and I admire the father for seeing that.
