Before I went to Japan, I had never lost my wallet. During my first week in Osaka, I somehow did — but I got it back surprisingly fast.
I didn’t panic too much, though, because I’d heard that in Japan, people often return lost wallets. And sure enough, they did.

I'm a carpenter myself, and I really like your work. Keep it up!

It is nice to watch craftsmen at work. I like the humour too. Thanks for the video.

I really like the dark floor. We also have some dark flooring in our house. Many people are too scared of dark floors, thinking they swallow tou much light. Sure, that is true. But it's not always a bad thing. Many homes don't even have a lot of natural or rather direct light and especially not in the hours you use the room. We installed a lot of windows in our house and incorporated indirect lighting which is timer controlled. That way we can enjoy the much more noble or classy looking dark floor while still having enough light in the room.

When you started to lay the top finished floor I thought oh that’s dark but once you had sunlight on it it looked much lighter and nice. Just shows even the best make a mistake now and again after all we are humans. Nice work and now even better you are doing it in English. 😀😀

I love to see the difference in carpentry country to country. So very different from American standards and it's very interesting. Thank you for sharing your work and giving the world a little window into your process.

Your YouTube channel is really good, I used to be a kitchen and bathroom fitter, self-employed. When marking darker wood or flooring, try using masking tape so you can see your pencil mark.
