I remember show back when it aired originally, and it was a insult to kids thinking that they couldn’t tell the difference between the Gobots and the orbots, given they are two different things, and not the same thing, and it’s idiotic that the people who own tonka thought kids were that dumb then, and yeah.

I had zero recollection of this show from childhood. As I got older I had friends who would bring up the show and for the life of me I, couldn’t remember it at all (and I remember A LOT of obscure television!). And now I know why; 1984, just one season, and up against Muppet Babies on CBS.<br><br>And back in the 80’s, TMS was putting out some high-quality animated series. This, Bionic Six and Galaxy High were top-tier shows thanks to them.

I duly watched all thirteen episodes on ABC, and I remember my feelings from back then quite clearly: "I'm not that crazy about this show."<br><br>My main problem was with the five main bots themselves: I disliked Tor's egotism; Crunch was pure id; Bo may have been more outgoing than her twin sister, Boo, but they were pretty much interchangeable as far as I was concerned.<br><br>Worst of all was Bort. My main issue with GoBots was Scooter's whiny cowardice. Bort was cut from much the same microchip. Don't be on a team of warriors if you're NOT one. (Be tech support or a physician. Nothing shameful about that.)<br><br>And don't constantly WHINE about your inadequacies! That grated on me something fierce as a kid.<br><br>The show just didn't do it for me like Transformers, GoBots, and Voltron, what can I say?<br><br>Of course, that didn't stop my hypocritical kid self from watching all the REPEATS, but still... 😂
