As a drummer, I have always loved Stephen's playing because there is a percussive element to it. He must be very easy to lock in with because he does have drumming in him and Latin influences. I adore his catalog.

Stills has always been my favorite from CSN&Y, but his solo work and Manassas project are very underrated!
Mr. Stills represents the perfect synergy of Folk, Rock, Blues, Funk, with some Jazz flavors. He truly is a living legend!

I love Stephen and I've always worried about him and his happiness; he never seemed to be in a good place; happy to seem him happily married for 29 years; he will always be one of my musical heroes and I cut my teeth learning his songs on my $100 Yamaha 6 string back in the early 70's. Fly on, Treetop Flyer!

As a retired public school teacher with forty years of experience, I am convinced more and more that there are no two people on earth that are the same. Stephen Stills is a perfect example. No one else sounds like or possesses the same gifts as Stephen. We are all given a different set of gifts. Which is why standardized pen and paper testing is such a mindless sham. No, we are definitely not the same. In my final years of teaching I had developed ways of allowing each student to learn and demonstrate competency in whatever way they had chosen to learn. I had many ways to determine if a student had mastery of the objectives they were seeking to attain. But I am retired now and the mindless process of stamping a number or letter on a person's forehead as the product of some standardized process or device will likely continue on . . . forever ? I certainly appreciate Stephen's form of "Autism". Thanks Stephen, the more I hear your work, the more I am impressed and enjoy. Thank goodness you are "handicapped."

I saw him 12 times . Even saw him with Manassas in Naperville IL (NC College) back in 1972. I was 18. Still my fav rocker. I can pick his guitar and piano instantly out of thousands of others.
