I drank lean for 5yrs and had about 9 seizures in those yrs. He’s right you don’t remember them you wake up confused. I noticed they’d happen not from the drank but when I’d take Xanax also, I could take Xanax for 2-3 days and be ok, but if I took them for 5days + and then stopped I was guaranteed to have a seizure every time. Since I’ve quit the drugs no seizures at all they were only drug induced. They caused me to talk slow just like Wayne and be mentally slow for yrs, it took a while to get back to normal and I still don’t feel 100% but way better than before.

I have epilepsy. Not taking your medication, not getting proper rest and working on limiting your stress is just a recipe for danger. Epilepsy is unfortunately for life, it's time for him to take his health into his own hands.

Wayne’s speech has greatly changed in the last decade or so. I just assumed he was intoxicated in all of the interviews I’ve seen of Wayne. Him having a seizure disorder makes sense to me about the speech changes. I’ve had patients in the past placed on seizure meds and for all of the patients I’ve continued to treat have their speech affected over time. Their speech is delayed and they come off as cognitively “slow” due to a processing delay as well. You can also get brain damage from the oxygen loss from having a bunch of seizures as well. I also think that Wayne view/ed codeine as a reason for his success which is probably how he became so addicted. He got into the music business so young I bet he doesn’t even know who Dwayne Carter is since he’s been affecting his “Lil Wayne” persona for so long. I wrote Wayne off years ago, but I wish him the best.

Sadly, he is likely physically dependent on it. It’s also sad the huge chunks of memory he’s missing. Imagine living this incredible life and not being able to recall it
