Kaif you forgot to censor the IP when you initially explained it leaking the IP. <br><br>Peak Kaif moment.

Unsafe Express is really nice to see honestly. I'm a huge fan of both Eldritch stuff and also robots, so the creepy eldritch monsters that kill you and the fact all the characters are kinda-pissed-off robot girls with different cute face expressions and even the fact that the mascot that you're trying to not die to is a yellow robot named "Hastur" (another eldritch reference, literally 'The King in Yellow') made me super happy. I definitely agree with your review though, that both the sound balancing and the AI leave something to be desired. But goodness, it's just so directly up my alley it makes me happy!

So here's a bunch of backstory about the Dungeon Defenders Game:<br>Dungeon Defenders was and sort of still is a successful indie game, back when the first installment came out.<br>They then followed it up with a F2P sequel that is also still going but went through a rather troubled development.<br>After the whole "franchise" was on life support for a bunch of years a new studio named chromatic games took over (The studio that made the first 2 games was called Trendy Entertainment).<br>They immediately started working on a new Dungeon Defenders Game that was 50% Remake of the first game and 50% new stuff, called Dungeon Defenders Awakened.<br>They released Awakened into early access and had a horrible launch as simple things as save games were broken, but the gameplay per se worked and was decent.<br>While not great, they eventually fixed the most glarring issues and started adding content in a season type model.<br>Each Season or Episode (as they liked to call it) was supposed to add 2 Heroes and 4 Maps (keeping the 50/50 split between old and new content, so 2 old maps, 1 old hero and 2 new maps and 1 new hero) and the game was scheduled to have 1-2 Episodes per year.<br><br>Episode 1 was a bit delayed but eventually came out adding the whole 4 maps and 2 Heroes.<br>Then while showcasing new features coming in Episode 2 they announced a new game coming to early access.<br>Keep in mind this is while many players still waited for them to actually fulfill their kickstarter promises, as many promised features like splitscreen were still missing.<br>"Going Rogue" was said game and was a spin-off of Awakened, using the same maps, heroes, enemys and towers.<br>It was released into early access just like awakened and players quickly figured out that the game was just another gamemode you had to pay 15$ for (and the gamemode isn't great tbh.)<br>Episode 2 was set to release like a month from then. Instead Episode 2 got delayed.<br>Then they split Episode 2 into 2 seperate Parts while announcing "Yeah so Episode 2 Part 1 (2 Maps and 1 Hero) will come in like 1-2 months".<br>So not only did they delay the update again, they also cut the amount of expected content by 50%.<br>Players weren't happy and the numbers of active Players in Dungeon Defenders 1 were actually higher than the numbers for Awakened.<br><br>So why is the game reviewed so badly? Simple: Both Awakened and Going Rogue are dead.<br>Going Rogue never really left early access and any content plans for it were quickly stopped after it's not too great reception.<br>Awakened got it's heavily delayed Second Season, that shipped broken and in 2 seperate parts. Afterwards they only operated on a skeleton crew to finally add their kickstarter promised features.<br>In order to keep operating, content plans were shifted back to adding content to Dungeon Defenders 2 and release additional DLC for Dungeon Defenders 1, a game that was supposed to be REMADE by Awakened.<br><br>According to their CEO they have a new Dungeon Defenders Game in the works but given how they butchered Awakened and Going Rogue there's not too many high hopes.<br><br>If somebody actually reads all of this: Thanks, I have this knowledge stuck in my head for years and years and tbh. it never comes up, so having even a single person read this is great lul

The best part of the second game is that's like the third time a game with that exact house has appeared on this channel

Honestly i think something that really speaks to something that really impacts Dungeon Defenders as of late, is that while in another tab, i heard talk of turrets, the bowling ball one, so i thought "Well, no shot" and checked back, thinking you were playing dungeon defenders awakened, a game i did buy (and haven't really played.), only for me to have to scroll back to find out it was an entirely different game i hadn't even heard of. While not as good as the original, at least Dungeon Defenders 1 and 2 had distinct identities from eachother, and checking back now, 1 is still getting active support to this day even as well as 2.

Kaif would enjoy a bad game more than a good game

I would like to mention that the censure of the IP address is missing at a point, despite later bluring the IP. Just fix it before anything bad happens to it.

In OG Dungeon Defenders, the turrets could be destroyed by mobs if they were in the way and/or if there was no alternate route to the crystal. The idea was to use the barricades to dissuade them from the shortest path and then stack your turrets near the path to shred them. However, getting in was often necessary to get the resources needed to make the turrets for the early waves, and also to keep the later waves under control. What ultimately killed my interest in the game was how freaking heavy the loot grind was to get anything remotely useful.
