  I'm 73 and still use dressing advice I got as a teen: make the best of how you look right now. Then step out and forget about it and get interested in others.

  I don’t usually comment but what really hit a chord with me was your comments about not feeling confident about your style choices before meeting up with friends and feeling like you don’t want to come across as trying too hard. So true! It’s as if we have to downplay our style so as not to stand out from the crowd. I am 6 feet tall with beautiful clothes …I will stand out no matter what I wear yet I am tired of not being me and dressing to fit in.

  I love this video today. &nbsp;I think about these things a lot. &nbsp;Today I went with the Ralph Lauren aesthetic for work, but instead of wearing basic brown loafers, which can look so predictable with this look, I opted for my leopard print loafers mixed with my plaid trousers. &nbsp;I love it! &nbsp;They give me joy every time I look down at my legs and feet! &nbsp;Thank you so much for compelling us to get out of our usual style rut and not listening to the naysayers we think are out there!!

  Your post makes a lot of sense. And I hope a lot of viewers don’t think negatively about this. When I put clothes on and if it’s too tight or I don’t like it or just gives me no happy vibe, it goes straight into a giveaway box. There’s no sense keeping it in my closet.

  At 62, I’m having as much fun with fashion as I did at 19. Not dressing for anyone but me, myself, and I. Nobody to impress. Couldn’t care less what anyone thinks. If anything I’m dressing like I’m a much younger version of me. Still wearing size 4, like I did in high school! So freeing and fun! No apologies! ❤
