  Also, spending money in gacha game IS NOT an investment. IS NEVER an investment. Unless you are a gacha CC, and that&apos;s your business expense. It&apos;s the biggest misnomer ever. You don&apos;t get crap in monetary values spending in gacha, folks. You can spend money on games, just don&apos;t call it an investment.

  The scariest part of gachas is developing an emotional attachment to them. There is nothing wrong with loving a game, but it will never love you back. The same can be applied to the communities.

  Here are some more tactics that you did not mention:<br><br>- Having a friend list that can &quot;help&quot; you once a day. Everyone likes that strong/whale friend with the very helpful unit. And with him in your friendlist, you can idolise him and strive to be just as strong as him (of course by spending more).<br><br>- Pvp and rankings. What better way to make high spenders be more inclined to spend more? Pit them against each other of course! Competition is one hell of a drug and it is our animalistic nature that make us want to be on top. Better yet make everything public so that even the shrimp can see it all and maybe dream of one day becoming a whale himself.<br><br>- This one is more of a recent thing I have been seeing. More gacha games are incentivising their players to join their own dedicated social media pages by giving in-game rewards (and maybe even real items) for posting and creating comtent. This helps build a community while making more fan content which in turn creates more free publicity/advertisments for the game. Its not a bad thing but it certainly is a tactic to create more loyal fans in and out of the game. Examples I have seen are mihoyo games with hoyolab and nikke with blablalink...

  I would say that the predatory aspect of gacha is the gacha itself. Limbus company has a way to not do the gacha, but that doesn’t make the gacha not predatory. An elevator to the bottom of a cliff doesn’t make the cliff not dangerous.
