  I don't understand the stupidity in risking your life just because a bunch of goofballs sitting in a chair safe and sound in their Mommy's basement called you a chicken even though their personal idea of danger would be glancing at a text on their cell phone!!! It's sad seeing people die trying to change how perfect strangers see them and even more so when they do it for money!!!

  The two women at half-dome were delusional.  I'm in Phoenix and I hike all over the state. Rule 1 - Don't hike in the heat. Wait for cooler weather or head up to the mountains (where it's not much better, but a little). Rule 2 - When the water is half gone, the hike is over. I turn around and go back, even if I haven't reached my destination yet. That hardly ever happens because I know to bring enough water.  All of the stories about people wandering off for long hikes with a 20 ounce bottle of water make me wonder how many other stupid things they've done.

  "I'm from Phoenix and i can handle the heat".  Most people from Phoenix spend their time in air conditioning.

  Tammy wanted to turn back, she wanted water, she wanted to quit but couldn&apos;t stand up against Gretchen. Ngl, that breaks my heart. I&apos;m a recovering people pleaser, so I know what it&apos;s like to be in bad situations just because you want to keep peace. She didn&apos;t deserve her fate.<br><br>Edit for the people who keep saying &quot;I wouldn&apos;t climb it,&quot; good for you. You obviously don&apos;t have people pleasing tendencies which is what my comment is about.
