  Lost my job and racked up about 10k in credit card debt fresh out of high school in 2022, just made the final payment a few hours ago :) <br>I can watch Atrioc talking about credit cards and stuff a lot less stressed now, and I’m very thankful he kept bringing up how paying it off would feel amazing and should be #1 on your priorities

  So I&apos;m a parent with 2 kids. &nbsp;My solution to this whole media thing is &quot;Don&apos;t showcase you have brainrot or I&apos;ll take it away&quot;<br><br>As long as they are getting chores done, they shower, they do their homework and get solid grade....cool you&apos;ll have no limits.<br><br>If they start slouching on chores....welp, I&apos;m taking away the switches, and limiting Internet use for a few days.<br><br>As a kid who wasn&apos;t monitored a ton but did everything I needed to do, I&apos;m extending that same freedom to my kids.

  My favorite part of this podcast is when they bring up a single comment that made them mad, and then sarcastically joke that it&apos;s their real opinion. <br><br>It&apos;s easily the most reliable segment

  To be honest, as someone who is not affected, the only reason I am against the ban is concerns about age verification and VPN bans. I fear it gives the government a scapegoat / route to restrict online privacy and take away rights (especially free speech).<br><br><br>I have had (and still kinda struggle) with social media addiction, it is a problem but I feel regulating algorithms would be a much more effective solution to teenage depression and polarization. <br><br>Quick example off the top of my head is the infamous story of Facebook marketing makeup products to teenage girls who just deleted a selfie.<br><br><br>Preventing (or just mitigating) that kind of behavior and forcing companies to be transparent, I feel, would go a long way.
