I cannot believe that I did the 6-hour quest in one sitting, and then immediately searched if Jade has done it and watched all over again for another 6+ hours with her  😅 I mean, this quest... real peak.

To those wondering why the lip sync had issues no kuro didn’t get lazy with the lip sync. The way it works in these games is there are in engine conversations and pre rendered cutscenes. In engine conversations allows them to use automation to match the lips to whatever the voice actor is saying. But pre-rendered cutscenes don’t allow this. The advantage of pre-rendered cutscenes is it allows the animation team to go all out and do more complex animations. That’s what allows the cinema moments we all love. The issue is pre-rendered cutscenes are just that. They are made as a single scene that is matched with the original Chinese performance. After it’s been recorded it is set in stone and to match English performance it would have to be remade from scratch rather than being able to adapt on the fly.<br><br>They are usually pretty good at keeping dialogue minimal in such scenes or hiding the characters’ faces in some way but in this patch kuro went all out with the pre-rendered cutscenes so it makes the issue more noticeable.

This MSQ has to be hands-down one of the best ones I have played, ESPECIALLY of a gacha game. This quest had it ALL, callbacks to the beginning of the game, a literal war against a Threnodian like a war we have never seen in WuWa. The boss fight was one of the most perfectly executed boss fights I have seen from Kuro to date. I do not know HOW Kuro plans on topping the finale of the Rinascita, but I look forward to seeing where this game goes, and hope the fantastic storytelling continues! There were so many twists and turns, I thought they would never end. The first half of this patch has been ABSOLUTE CINEMA and I cannot wait to see where it goes from here! Can't wait for Lahai-Roi, because no doubt we will be chasing after the Grand Architect and his band of seemingly immortal lunatics.
