Yes We remember these, the song and dance very beautiful. And we saw the movie when we was young, now we are 70 years old. Sweet memories still in our heart. Oh my god.

In my country, Algeria, this movie is the most famous among all Indian films, despite the existence of so many great other ones. The story is so beautiful and touching, especially the sequences with the kid. The songs are unique, and I still know the tunes and parts of the lyrics, despite I don't understand a thing(of course at the time when it was shown in the cinemas there were translating captions, touching lyrics). Now as I've grown up and become more "realistic"(hhh)I am not moved by it as much as when I watched it back then, when tears were running down my cheeks, crying silently,so sorry for the kid and his father, and deeply touched by the love story(which then "set me the example" of how love should be). Greetings for everyone and sorry for the lengthy comment!

In Algeria, this film was a surprise and a huge success. Although we didn't understand the language of the film, we memorized its songs to this day. As soon as we hear the melody of a song, we find ourselves singing along. It was shown on television in 1974 or 1975. I was a child and I felt a great deal of sympathy for the disabled child, even though it was aimed at adults. The whole story is about the suffering of a child without his mother.

I see today's films are way too backward even though we are much ahead in time, technology, equipments and everything.. BUT old films, songs , music , singers , stories, story telling, expressions, dialogues etc etc will never get old.. it still feels fresh and rejuvenating..
