Since this video is blowing up, I want to make the point of this video clear: Not all Chinese manufacturers are illegitimate. I actively promote some makers from China on my channel.

The key takeaway from this video is to show what happens if you’re misinformed about the fursuit market. These are expensive suits, and I’m showing the drop in quality if you purchase a fake fursuit listing. A lot of these fake listings are from Chinese equivalents of Amazon, which are more unregulated compared to American markets.

I'm embarrassed to admit it but I have 2 of these suits from when I first became a furry. All these knockoff suits are exactly the same suit with different color "fur" and none of it is actually wearable. I would go as far as to say it's even unsafe as far as something to wear for more than 5 minutes. This is why videos like this are so important, to keep unsuspecting new furries from wasting their money.

On the flip side though, I also think we should be careful how we approach the subject out in the wild. There are ways to educate without making the victim feel like a horrible person. (your video isn't that, but I'm just saying it's a thing that happens)

Thanks for bringing this scam to light!

Seling your tail for car payments is so funny (sad, but, funny) to me because people would pass down jewelry to sell if times get tough. So now I’m thinking about people passing down their fursuits for future emergency funds 😂

I'm not into fursuits myself, but this is kinda ridiculous.

To think bootleg fursuits are a thing nowadays...

Great advice. I've actually have one of those that I've got from a charity auction at a con. The body suit is not very comfortable at all. It fact, when you sweat, it gets wet inside. Yep, not very comfy at all. I am very happy now that I don't have another one of those horrible things. I hope my oc doesn't end up a copy. Love this and thanks for telling us. Keep up the amazing job.
