  9 years ago today I went online to look for a tutorial on how to fold napkins for the new years eve dinner I was about to host. This video came up and I sat there watching and admired the detailed tutorial and slowly getting mesmerized, not knowing what hit me. I don´t experience tingles so it wasn´t this big epiphany that happened. I just couldn´t look away or change to another video and sat through it even though I still had so, so much to do and prepare for the evening. And then the video was over and I felt so calm. I didn´t think about it anymore and got on with the preparations. The next day I kept thinking of the video and that was the first time I even registered the whispering! Like I said above, that was exactly 9 years ago and I can´t count the many sleepless nights or anxious/sad/grieving moments soothed by ASMR videos. I´m so grateful that this video came up when I looked up napkin folding. So grateful for the supportive Community that surrounds ASMR, so grateful for Maria and for all the creators, the time and effort spent, the love going into it, the encouragement and compassion pouring out of it. I have always wanted to express my gratitude to Maria and often started to type in the comment and never went through with it, thinking it too sentimental and too much in general. But I am grateful and I want to express it. So...here I go clicking on enter. Happy new year everybody!

  Here in 2022 and still say these types of videos from Maria are still the best. I learned how to fold napkins into fancy candles and towels into teddy bears 🧸  from Maria. I wish she still did more of these instructional videos.

  Dear GentleWhispering, I am a 41 year old woman who started watching your videos in my mid to late 30's.  I just want to say that I thank you very much for taking the time to do these entertaining, educating videos that relax and soothe people's stress.  You are a beautiful person on the outside and seem to be a beautiful person on in the inside.  Your videos in my opinion reflect that.  Thank you again and God Bless You and all your endeavors.  :D
