Remember the themes of collective anxiety and overcoming together in solidarity. I know it's hard, it's scary, but "Courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it."
‼Now more than ever, come out for the June 14th No Kings protest. https://indivisible.actionkit.com/mailings/view/117907
"Just 3.5% of a population showing up to protest have resulted in political change, including holding back authoritarian movements."
‼Volunteer opportunities, events and petitions near you
https://www.mobilize.us/map/

Oh also the reason I bring up the key signatures are because of Key Coloration Theory (vs. Equal Temperament) that I explain earlier on in the mega "How Metaphor ReFantazio's Music Reveals It's Worldbuilding, Lore, and Themes" video.
(Edit: The SIX-AND-A-HALF HOUR project is finally done and can be found here: https://youtu.be/RXXK7Zsi4fc )
🌟PATREON: https://www.patreon.com/LadyVirgilia
▶YT MEMBERSHIP: https://tinyurl.com/LadyVirgiliaYT
🎮TWITCH: https://www.twitch.tv/ladyvirgilia
⛅BLUESKY: https://bsky.app/profile/ladyvirgilia.bsky.social

I finished this game in January/February. I was like: This is... scarily familiar. Sadly, this has been more relevant than before... sheesh.

Remind me to send you my script draft for my "ATLUS & Revolution" video, because I think you'd absolutely get the vibe I'm going for. Definitely using your vid here as a motivator to finally finish that up.

Great stuff as always, and stay safe! 🙏🔥

I loved Metaphor so much and still do and personally I think it's Atlus best so far. The approach to anxiety, the thought provoking discussions about what makes a Utopia, but also how the "heroes" aren't just the typical "good guys", but also the "misfits" - the people who get angry, the "thiefs and tricksters" and still do the right thing in the end.
Like Strohl is still very much about righteous anger until the very end. But he can also be very empathatic, yet clear when he thinks something is wrong and never loses that anger and it shows how it can be used for something good instead of bad. Then there's Basilio who's the "berserker" and still a hero, not a "villain". There's Alonzo with his scheeming. Then also Maria with her gentle nature that's not considered a weakness. I love that. Because with themes like this, it's so easy to go into the territory of "Oh, any sort of anger or sort of harder rebelliousness is bad, because "it's still violence and builds on fears", or to go "kindness is nice, but in the end it can’t really achieve anything." And I love how they showcased that yes, you could argue that our parties' actions aren't perfect and as Louis also said "not too different from his". It's also shown im how each and every one of our party members awakens very differently I think and faces and conquers their fears. Strohl stands up and cuts it down, Heismay radically accepts them, Eupha embraces them with kindness. It shows how all of these approaches are valid and right for the individual. And it's great I think!
But they still are different! And I love that and that's so important!
There's just so much that felt very real, heartfelt and made me go like "Yes, this is how it should be" and gives me both hope and also inspires me to do something myself so we might one day achieve something like it. The quote Hashino found "How fantasy does so much more and helps us reimagine something new" just cemented it all the more. I played the game last year and did expect to like it. But I wasn’t ready for how much when I played it at the end of 2024. I started replaying it again at the end of 2025 and am still playing it now and I'm just again blown away by how much I love it. The feeling, energy and intention I think is behind it is something I think we really need more of, now and in the future. Thanks for the video!

I replayed Persona 5 not that long ago when... Well, the stuff happening in the US started to happen.
And not gonna lie, the spirit of rebellion, all the ways the Phantom Thieves were able to help people, all of this was so inspiring.
Yeah neither P5 nor Metaphor are really subtle but they don't need to be. Because real life really isn't that subtle anymore ^^'.
Especially P5 where the "cliché bad guys" we stop are proven to actually exist in real life more and more.

In any case, thank you for your videos! And I can't wait to see those whole breakdown of Metaphor whenever you release it.

I think gandalf adivced to frodo is almost imporant in these anxious time

"So do I,said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us."

Remember you have to the right to be slient and only bring that you wanted lawyer. God be with to those in these protest

A music analysis of an Atlus game that discuss the scenario at the same time!? I was craving for a video like that since I watched musicians (but have no clues about the story of the game) react to Persona music. The awakenings are my favorite moments in the game, and you explain well why the tracks Hero's Within and Hero's Awakening fit so well.

There's an important point about perseverance and continuing the fight that the game itself points to and I think it's very relevant to modern-day events. ( spoiler for game events)

When the protgaonist is forcibly turned into a human through Lois and the public sees this, our heroes are seen completely negatively in the public's eyes but by pushing through and proving that the party's goal is that of a noble one people are able to reflect and eventually see the flaws in Louis.

This can relate directly back into the type of media attention and public image that is catered to destroy the support of events and especially with it being the information age/ AI era where people are constantly being manipulated to view things, of course in a lot of these cases people have their own biases so they want to see people protesting in the most negative light possible. I think we need to do our best to shine things in the best possible light, while standing up for what we believe is right.

I haven't been alive during other points of time in U.S history and I know the media has been utilized to try and destroy the image of peaceful movements in the past.

The reason why I emphasize peaceful protests as well is because that 3.5% stat was for specifically peaceful protests according to the reaearcher who made the claim, they also claimed that peaceful protests were double as effective. I haven't fully researched this topic so I could definitely be missing something.

Is someone who loves US history? I am so glad you brought up all of the rights we had to fight for over the years. Especially just the founding fathers in general attempt attempting to create a country where religious freedom existed at all or the idea that common people were born the same level of worth and equality to a king.

I want to play this game so bad. Eventually, I’ll get a ps5. Until then, I’ll be rooting from the switch (1) sidelines.
