It hit me, realizing how true that line is when applied to the era I grew up in (late late 80s and 90s) and all the ppl I grew up with... Most &quot;friends&quot; were just ppl I knew as kids as they moved onto prison or the grave... Neither they or myself are the same ppl we were back then, so in essence, we never really knew each other at all

  I was born in 88, my teenage years were great growing up in 90s was awesome memories i will hold dear forever, gang culture was a part of my youth but grateful that I could grow and focus on what really matter, God, Family, Friends, Community

  This was when the movie Colors came out in 1988. I remember it was all over the news. We got lost once with my mom in a really bad area of Los Angeles. This was like 1985. We were really scared and saw gang activity out in the open. We pulled into a gas station and my mom shouted for directions. We got out of there so fast.

  LEFT CALIFORNIA LA AND HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PLANS ON EVER RETURNING WHATSOEVER!!! I got into three fights on three different occasions in LA. I wanted to stay and get personal business done in Los Angeles California, however the BAD OUTWEIGHS THE GOOD. Everyday in LA is dangerous!!!!
