How Close Was Charles Manson to Becoming a Rock Star?

I’ve listened to whatever of his tunes were available on the web. Some of them I liked. Historically, plenty of good music has been created by criminals and/or “unsound minds”, one thing has nothing to do with the other. If Manson had acted appropriately at recording sessions I think eventually he would’ve gotten a recording deal. The fact that he was able to construct tunes, which takes a certain amount of logic and objectivity, shows he could have healthy cognitive abilities.

This might be completely cocobaunz, but he kind of reminds me of Corey Feldman. A few inches taller than the Goblin Ghoul maybe, but there's a striking resemblance there.

35 years old in 1969. Not a a chance but i think his songs could have been sung by others and maybe turned into hits. Some of them have potential.

His greatest achievement was Cease to Exist. Aka Never Learn not to love. Dennis Wilson was The man! 🇺🇸

Hey! That last song is already an old Latin standard called, "Sabor a mi". He ripped it off and just made up some new, lamer lyrics!
I really hate that some STUPID people see Manson as some "undiscovered Artist". I mean HITLER studied Art too, that doesn't make him cool.

Manson was a scumbag.
Period. Don't treat him like a positive role model or the poster child for that era's "disaffected youth". He was a monster and a sleaze. They'll ALWAYS be a dime a dozen.

Not close at all. Pulling a knife out at Brian Wilson's home studio blew his chance at being rock star. Not only that but his controling personality and freeloading behavior was something people in the business wanted to avoid.
