You have to control your money not your money control you. You can use the envelope system in a way that suits you. I have all my regular bill paid automatically. Then use the envelope system for my weekly budget. Use cash for the envelope system.Any money left over get put away to save for the future or emergency. You them know what money is left, keep receipts to track your spending. Don’t have a credit card it is not your cash and you end up spend money you don’t have.
