  Hoffa was originally from Brazil (just east of Terre Haute) Indiana.  I worked with his nephew in Indianapolis for 20+ years.  He looked just like Jimmy but was the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet.

  Tocco and Mannino own a lot of legitimate businesses in Macomb County these days.  I had the Badalamenti sisters as dentists.  Small world.  My dad's best friend boarded mob horses in Casco Township, too.  The mafia were everywhere in Detroit till they got RICO'd to death by the 80s.  Then their kids and grandkids all went legit.

  Ok side note... the old purple gang neighborhood by Hastings and Oakland. I-94 freeway took most of it out. There us still a 130 year old Jewish bath house on oakland. Still operating

  At minute <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch7jIxPqmTo&amp;t=3240">54:00</a>, Hoffa murder and disposal. I know where he was taken after his abduction.<br>A small house in Mt. Clemens, MI where he was killed, then dismembered and stuffed inside an Oil Barrel. The barrel was sealed and eventually transported to Florida. The barrel containing his body was loaded onto a small plane, flown over the Everglades. The barrel was opened and his body parts were dumped throughout the everglades and then the empty barrel was also discarded.<br>I know more about the Family but, that&apos;s another story that won&apos;t ever be told.

  Sorry to say, the Mafia is not dead in Detroit. &nbsp;It&apos;s alive and well. &nbsp;Its just laying low and in areas that aren&apos;t as traditional.

  And you are absolutely incorrect. The Teamsters Central States Pension never lost a dime when the loans to the mob were happening. Those loans were paid back at up to 10 points on the dollar. The pension was almost fully funded up to the mid 1980&apos;s when the government started to over see it. It lost money from then on.
