Hey. Just catching up on your videos. Just watched this. You did an excellent job interviewing Capt Dye. Great questions and most importantly you let him speak.

I have yet to meet a Vet who on the 1st night in Basic did not say something Like "OMG, What Have I Gone And Done!" Because Basic (no matter the branch) Is a Real Realty Check.

Outstanding interview Matt. Captain Dye was correct in saying you did a good job with the interview. It was very well done and I truly enjoyed watching. He truly is a gem for American military history.

What a great profound, thought provoking interview Matt! You got Captain Dye to open up and tell us about his raw, no holds barred wartime experiences. War is hell. It’s not glorious, it’s anything but glorious. We can hope more people see this interview and take a step back to appreciate and understand how brutally horrific and inhumane war actually is.
Again, great work Matt. Thanks!

Great interview! Had the pleasure to talk a bit with Colonel Dye at the Film Festival, amazing man. This subject really has my interest, so very happy to see this video. Was also nice meeting you this past weekend when you were talking to JD in front of the museum 👍🏻

Really enjoyed watching your interview with Captain Dale Dye. Very eye opening listening to him talk about his experience in Vietnam. Really liked his portrayal of Col Sink in Band of Brothers and that he was involved in the whole getting it right aspect of it by putting the actors through a form of boot camp. I appreciate that attention to authenticity. Great to hear he's involved with the Gettysburg Museum of History. Never been there but hope to have the opportunity to see it someday. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

I'm grateful for how candid Capt. Dale Dye was in this interview. Cannot thank him enough for his efforts to help make war films more realistic and honest. I first saw him in Platoon, and liked the character he played. At that time I had no idea how much bigger of a role he played behind the scenes of the film, but Platoon was a very different war film than any I had watched up to that time. It was the first war film which left me feeling shaken, and never wanting to be in combat - which was a first in of itself. Since then, I've been a big fan of Capt. Dye. It's been great to hear so much more about him, from the man himself, in this episode.
Thank you Capt. Dye, for sharing your time with us!
Well done, Matt! Bravo and well done, indeed! Gracias!
